Performance gains v4 vs v5

VRR??? Variable refresh rate? Presumably requires a GSync monitor? But if my BenQ supports 60 and 30Hz I could in theory create a custom resolution/frequency for anything inbetween?

Still worried about it though.

In my gaming room (just a spare bedroom!) I play many types of games a lot of which have massive on screen stuff.... racing games and RPG games.

But.... (sorry if I'm boring you !) I also want to use it during the day for news channels like CNN ! I don't do this in the lounge for this reason.

So ideally I want a QLED. No worries then, and keep the OLED in the lounge for movies etc.

But.... the QLEDS are not yet G sync certified... and we don't know if they will be.

So it's looking like a Radeon... Not happy ! But I'll wait until the New Year before deciding.

But as you say, (or at least alluded to above), a benefit of Freesync is that the range is from either 20 or 30 uowards, depending. ....Which is a lot better than 40 upwards... especially once PMDG releases ! Those 10 FPS can make the world of difference.

Oh my .... 1st World problems huh ?  🥴🥴🥴😆

Indeed ... in the meantime I'm waiting for my 3090 to arrive which I hope keeps me above 40 FPS in all situations (well for P3D and XP, it'll not help much for MSFS).

Cheers, Rob.

Hmmmm..... nice. I'll make do with a 3070 Ti (which may arrive) .... in the hope I won't need a new PSU, as I'm also factoring in 1200 GBP for a dedicated OLED TV.

For me, it will improve even P3D performance as I can double my Rez from 2K to 4K, and thus reduce my AA settings.

So it should look better and increase FPS, especially in cloudy weather as the 4xSGSS/4xMSAA I use is a real killer.
