Does anyone know if Flight 1 UTX v2 will be updated for P3d v5? Further, does anyone know if it needs to be? I have read some stuff that I have interpreted as UTX being redundant (i could be completely mistaken). Perhaps it is no longer needed in v5? I apologize if this has been answered, being a CPA and today being April 15th, I have had very little time to do anything other than tax returns over the past few months.

I thought I've read on the forum that they have no plans to do that.

I would say, since the structure of the sim did not change that you could use it all the same - I did not try however. It's just a lot of fuss really.

Vector isn't being ported, because they said the data is more current in P3Dv5 than Vector. Maybe it's the same with UTX.

I am just an opinion that after flying in MSFS, I cannot bare to look at P3D any more, be it with Vector, UTX, Orbx or without... I hope FSL+VATSIM will keep me busy until official MSFS release and then until addons are available for it.

@Benzhangar I haven't had time to check it out yet. Curious, did you use the UTX installers or did you just copy files. Wondering if the installers allowed pointing to V5.

Do you have it in the scenery.cfg or configured with addon.xml?

I was going to try the installer with the intent to direct it to the P3dv5 folder But space on my drive was limited. So i just add it to my scenery with Lorby's P3AO from the main UTX installation which was P3Dv4 root.

When the dust is settle with the new install with P3dv5, someday I'll just move the UTX installation out the root P3dv4 Folder and put it outside so both can share without P3dv5 being a terminal for it. (Prepar3D v4 main scenery folder)

I'd actually like to convert UTX to addon.xml and then use it simply for both sims.

How is this working in the airports?

Shouldn't this have the same issues preventing ORBX from Porting it over to v5? I remember also UTX has kind of an AEC tool...
