April 17, 20206 yr I currently have my sim on a SSD and my orbx on a normal hard drive. But my autogen is really slow at loading in. Do you think if I buy a new ssd to fit both my sim and scenery on it my autogen will load in faster? Thanks
April 17, 20206 yr Probably not, slow autogen loading plagues most of us even using an ultra fast NVMe drive. Loading the program is faster on the SSD than HDD but even Orbx has posted in their forum that performance differences are minimal. Dan Downs KCRP
April 17, 20206 yr Agree with @downscc that an SSD isn't going to help much with autogen. Autogen is one of the things that is CPU intensive, and slow autogen loading is typically a symptom of an overtaxed main P3D thread. Edited April 17, 20206 yr by cwburnett 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT
