April 19, 20206 yr My first thought after "Whoa!" would be "Well this highway is closed for the day........" We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. April 19, 20206 yr Nice job! There were a lot of obstacles - a bridge and several overhead signs. He was lucky to be able to put down between them before he ran out of airspeed. The car right behind him was tailgating the whole time, and seemed more concerned about getting around the aircraft and continuing on its way than stopping to assist. Can't be sure, but it appeared there was some black smoke coming from the engine exhaust as he was descending. April 19, 20206 yr I concur, Jim. Certainly seemed to be random amounts of black smoke (oily exhaust rather than a fire I'm guessing). Hey, if it's just a fuelling problem, get a mobile mechanic to fix that then fly her right off there again - may save time in highway closures!
