October 20, 200619 yr hi...prob a silly question but by default when i launch a flight the brakes on the aircraft are off....can anybody tell me how to have a flight launched with brakes on by default???thanks in advance Andrew
October 20, 200619 yr Setup your default flight the way you want it and set parking brake on then save as default flight. It will be on whenever you startup. Regards, Bob.
October 20, 200619 yr that would mean you have to load the default flight everytime dont you ? And what he and i to wants is when you click on free flight that whereever you start that you start with parking brakes on.
October 21, 200619 yr If you save a default flight FSX goes automatically to that flight when the Free Flight window opens. If you want another aircraft, time, location, or weather you can select it. As far as I see if you select another aircraft it will start up in the same configuration as you had saved in your default flight. If you had the parking brake on in the default flight it will be on in the plane you select. That's the way it does for me. I like to start with the PB on too. Hope this helps. Regards, Bob.

The chief problem being that you have no option in FSX to modify the default flight directly. You can however, open the FLTSIM.FLT file in the ..Flightsother folder, and change this entry under Controls.0ParkingBrake=100.00 // was 000.00 = OFFSave the file, and voila! Default.flt has been changed to always load with parking brake set... ;) Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
