hi been following the concorde,,,following this thread and the fslabs forum. I run p3d v3.1 using NVidia surround 3 monitors so my resolution is significantly bigger than the now recommended 1920 x 1080. is it necessary to use the 2d panels.....since starting with 3d cockpits ive never liked or used other makers 2d panel.....using ezdok instead. thanks for any info Andrew Heafield

Redbarock.....I don't own the 146,,,,but I read through the whole of the posts 1 to 29 and its noted that the dispatcher returns an error saying it cant find p3d by several of the posts,,,,,someone suggested qw were looking at it but that was a year ago ? Andrew

I know its a different aircraft but myself and a fair amount of users,,,and rising are having problems with ASN sp1 and the aerosoft 318/319.... no probs with asn and the 318/319,,,,,,but throw asn sp1 in to the mix and the frames bottom out.... just a thought for you oh but with the ngx or 320/321 I don't have the problem.....I own the 777 but haven't had time to try yet Andrew

Yeah sorry,,,as with the rest of the post I left I did put simconnect sdk v2,,,,,,,,that line I messed sdk off,,,,that was the probs I had......to make sure it worked ok I did install the whole asn on the server with fsx and that worked fine here,,,,so led me to a conclusion that the simconnect sdk`s were out,,,and they were.

In my case,,,,i had as2012 running fine over my wireless network....but with asn I got no joy. I read up on simconnect and it showed I only had version 1a sdk on the client,,,so I updated to ver 2 sdk...but still no joy. then I made sure my server/fsx machine had all the versions of the sdk installed again It didn't so I put on up to ver2 and it now works great Andy

hi after reading the obsession thread got me thinking ,,,,i tend to fly pmdg`s 737,,,due to being a member of B.A virtual,,,,but would really like to go and have a go with something smaller and slower. after reading round i think ive narrowed it down to 2,,,,,, the realair turbine duke the carenado c90b king air both look the biz has anybody any thoughts over preferance thanks

thanks for the advise on the dualhead and after thinking about it,,,and were the monitor bezels would go i bit the bullet and ordered 3 screens,,22" and a triplehead and even though its early days,,,ive been simming for years,,,,and corrrrrrrr what a change.thanks againAndy

hi,,,i use fsx,,,,i have a mate on fsx as well,,,he has the matrox triplehead2go,,,3 monitors and im envious of his flight experiance.after a long hard save up....i can manage to either buy a large monitor,,,say approx 27".........or ive looked at the dualhead2go and 2 monitors....i fully understand that the bezels of each monitor would be straight down the middle of the cockpit so am wary of that upset....has anybody out there any experiance with the dualhead2go and 2 monitors for there main display in either fsx or fs9.or am i just better getting 1 large screen.thanksAndy H

hi mate,,,,a week ago i moved up from a core2duo system to an I5 2500K sandybridge,,,,,4 gig ram and an nvidia 460 graphics,,,,the place i got it from in the UK already had it overclocked to 4.3 ghz and flying now is errrrrrrr great,,,can believe i didnt upgrade sooner,,,,,even with the likes of uk2000 scenery and an ifly 737 i can still get great,,,not good but great performance.Oh and do go for win 7,,,,,u wont regret it. on my system,,,they have very similar fps but i only have a core2duo 8400 running at 3.46,,,,,i decent piece of advise has gotta be try the ifly 737,,,it comes with flight 1`s 30 day money back if not happy....cant loose there can uAndy

i think if u take a look on ebay at the moment you`ll find a couple of sellers,,,£38,,,and £39 post free,,,GENUINE copies.....SHRINK WRAPPED....i dont understand the reason behind other shops charging £50 plus.ive used ebay for the genuine software b4,,,,if you look at the sellers that seem to be shops selling all different kinds of software you cant go wrong,,,some ppl wrongly think cos of the past on the likes of ebay that everybody on there might be dodgy.Andrew

I bought the Just Flight Airbus,,,i got an email a day or 2 b4 its release offering it to me at 1/2 price,,Its now £14.99,,,they offered it to me at £7.50....i had a few quid saved with them so got it for £2.50,,,,its a f-lite version that i understood and was cleary happy with when pre ordering.The model of the outside is good enough,,looks decent,,,inside the cockpits ok,,,better than some payware ive bought at a lot higher price,,,but the autopilot and adjusting it just isnt "airbus",,its the native fs way,,,- and + to adjust heading and speed and alt,,,and the throttles are again fs or boeing style,,,not airbuses way,,,"I KNOW ITS COS ITS A LITE VERSION" hence the price,,,,in the last couple of days ive been lucky enough to have a try at the Airbus X from Aerosoft at a mates house and even though this can be classed as a lite version i felt it left the Just Flight version standing...and at only 37.95 (euros) or £32 approx or $40.55 i reckons its money well spend by my mate(pity were in england and we get hit with tax)....yeah there is the odd prob with it,,HEYYYY most fsx addons are bugged on release,,,ive read there forum,,,they acknowledge most of the probs and in a week or 2 have fixed loads,,,with more fixes to come.....so come on give em a break...we were using a saitek yoke and rudder pedals on the airbus and had no probs at all,,,i believe that or other controller probs are cos the user aint set up right.Andrew

Hi m8,,,i bought the just flight airbus on day of release,,,long story short i had money saved with em so only cost me £2.50.Visually its nice and it flys nice,,,not had any probs with it BUT it is lite which u already mention,,,it uses FSX autopilot i.e click on the + or - to increase or decrease the speed/heading/alt,,and alot of the switches although they are there visually they dont work.were as i believe the aerosoft airbus is more advanced than that,,,and to call it lite isnt doing it justice (lite maybe compared to pmdg BUT aerosoft arnt hiding anything theyve been open and honest about the systems modelled)...u only have to read the threads on here and look at the comments,,,or better still have a look over at aerosofts siteAndrew

developers are dammed if they do,,,and dammed if they dont,,,i thought aerosoft were being decent and keeping people informed with possible release dates,,,i`d prefer a more general time scale,,,so that errors on the release day are hid.you visit other delvelopers and you arnt allowed to ask questions on release dates...aerosoft tried it and for some reason people get so wound up,,,refreshing a page by the 2nd,,,or reading things into statements released.Andrew

Take a look at there main site,,,the headlines on there say 31-8 its delayed quote"Sorry gents, we have to solve an issue before releasing. In the final test that are done on machines in the HQ a problem appeared that we knew about but that we thought we had under control. We are now trying to figure out why it reappeared on those machines. As the forum server also has a case of the hiccups that might be not soooo bad (well yes it is but we need some excuse). I find i get the problem u mention,,,rarely say once in every 10 flights,,,,i always presumed it was because radar contact had missed u flying over a waypoint,,,so to work around it all i do is is press either 0 or 9,,not to sure cos im not infront of fsx,,,but u are then aloud to fly direct to a way point,,,i choose the next waypointAndrew

Dont buy the standard version.I did on the day FSX was released....the offer at my local pc world (england) was to good to miss at the time

sorry to waste your time,,,but you were right,,,,i hadnt shared the user/documents/flight sim files proper.long day at work and even longer in front of the pc reinstalling kind a takes it out of ya.Thanks for the replyAndrew

Hi,,,,after a year or more of happy flying with FSX and active Sky X over a network i had to reinstall fsx.So after reinstalling fsx on windows vista 64 i then networked the computer a ok,,,,mapping the drivesi re did the client by uninstalling asx.....and rerunning the network so as to pick up the mapped drives.i reinstalled asx then each of the updates im now on the current 1 from your web site sp4 1169.i run fsx on the server,,,,,,,,i run asx on the client,,,,,asx shows and depicts great in fsx.BUT,,,,ah ha the but...i now get line after line in asx of exception received 14.i searched the forum,,,i way to stop it is to untick virtual stations,,,i tried that and still the same.i made sure the client had 3 entries in the reg and they are there and correct.has anybody any ideas,,,like i said weathers great except for the exception 14.im flying in and around central uk.....EGCC.i may need to produce a log,,,,at the moment im not sure were it is saved.Thanks for any adviseAndrew

Hey fella`s thanks,,,seems so really good advise......5 miles,,,2000 ft.....decent 500ft what the plane when in auto mode......you know i never even thought of looking at the angles or the characteristics of the runway while on auto pilot.So thanks to all the reply`s.Andrew

hi,,,for a few years now ive been flying LDS 767 .for approaches into airports that have a glideslope i have no problem,,,hehe obviously its pretty much just the click of a few buttons and the plane flys down the glideslope.Where i have problems is airfields that dont have the glideslope....lets say and airfield that has a beam for left and right tracking but not altitude,,,here i have to guess but always seem to be a few hundred fett to high near the field and have to make a quick dive,,,no very proffesional is it hehehe.does anybody have any pointers,,,,any material on the net i can read up on,,,or any ideas i`d be grateful.ThanksAndrew
