December 25, 201114 yr hi,,,i use fsx,,,,i have a mate on fsx as well,,,he has the matrox triplehead2go,,,3 monitors and im envious of his flight experiance.after a long hard save up....i can manage to either buy a large monitor,,,say approx 27".........or ive looked at the dualhead2go and 2 monitors....i fully understand that the bezels of each monitor would be straight down the middle of the cockpit so am wary of that upset....has anybody out there any experiance with the dualhead2go and 2 monitors for there main display in either fsx or fs9.or am i just better getting 1 large screen.thanksAndy H
December 26, 201114 yr Save a bit more and get tthree 19" - 1280 x 1024. They are cheap as dirt, now, and will give you 3840 x 1024 - along with the very wide field of view: a single 27" won't give you that.https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/52676345/1/Chipmunk%20Cockpit?h=aaf690 i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
December 26, 201114 yr Don't go for a dual monitor setup as the split down the middle is a real pain during the approach phase of the flight. Definitely save up for a triple setup if that's your other preferred option...
December 26, 201114 yr Agree. No bezel down the middle. It is very annoying. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
January 1, 201214 yr G'day all,While we are on the subject of Matrox dual or triple head hardware, I have a question about that. I understand that with the triple head and 3 screens you get a wide view of surroundings. I am however interested in obtaining, front view middle screen. then a left and right side views on the monitors each side. This means creating a new view and undocking it to move it to either the left or right monitors. My question is, is this possible with the Matrox hardware? At the moment I am using a USB to DVI adapter from Display Link, all works well until I undock a view and move it to the monitor attached to the adapter. The screen goes black and becomes inactive. Running the hardwares latest version for my OS (Win 7 Ultimate 64 and FSX). It only happens when undocking and moving a window..Otherwise no problems. If this is also the case with the Matrox triplehead to go, then it will be a waste of money to purchase it..Any Matrox gurus that can advise me about this please. Thanks and cheersRichard Cheers from Down Under
