June 18, 20205 yr My 8700K running at 5.0GHz and 200MHz AVX offset runs at around 65-70°C after 2-3h P3D. This with 1.38V and a Noctua NH-U14S cooler. But of course, my CPU is delidded, with the default thermal grease between chip and heatspreader, this would not be possible. The new range of 10th Gen CPUs dont really seem that much of an improvement over the 9th. A tick rather than a tock release. Plus it seems a small power station is needed to run them, especially with any OC. The GPU's are similar with not a huge improvements on a 1080Ti. I may wait until later this year to see what comes. Yeah i kind of taking a little chance pushing this CPU to its limit (99c today peek) but its stable in P3dv5 and much more smooth experience than v4 . This thread i created was about pagefile and mostly about OOM , and i have to say , it is connected so check your pagefile settings and choose "system manage" at least in Windows10. I havent had a single crash at all even in 4K /MaddogX/FSDT-KORD 4096K textures with all maxed out. I even tried pushing road traffic to 50% but could not crash it. BUT FPS was offcause sometimes during scenario below my normal @ 25 during this test Michael Moe Michael Moe
