June 15, 20205 yr I'm looking to sim some Grant Aviation flights in the Aleutians. They fly Piper Navajo's from Dutch Harbor (PADU) to Arak (PAAK). Is there a good Navajo that works in v5 (looks like Carenado is the only one, but it says some features only work in FSX, not P3D - maybe specific to RXP gauges)? If no, is there a good alternative? June 15, 20205 yr Reality XP GTN 750 works just fine in P3D with the nado Navajo. Nick Silver http://www.youtube.com/user/socalf1fan Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 64gb ddr4 3200mhz ram, RTX 4080 Super, HP Reverb G2 v2, 4K Tv Monitor
June 15, 20205 yr The Carenado PA31 should work fine in P3d V5, it's not like it has any special gauges or dll's with it. It's just an aircraft. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
June 15, 20205 yr Flysimware's Cessna 402 is a reasonably similar alternative. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
January 8, 20233 yr I know this is an old thread, but ...... I have tried using the Carenado PA31 in Prepar3Dv5.5, but without success. When it loads the engines are running,but the mixture controls are at cut-off, so the engines immediately run down and stop. Nothing I do moves the mixture controls away from the cut-off position. I use FSUIPC6 and all other controls work just fine. And yes, I do have the "Enable Controller(s)" box at Options>Controllers>Other Controls>Controllers> unticked. A separate problem is that there is a 'hole' in the floor under the pitch trim whell as well as no general panel background. I can see the outside scenery through both! I also fly the default Beech BE58 Baron with similar control functions, and all controls work just fine. I an very frustrated as I used to fly the Navajo in RW for a coupleof air taxi companies. I really wouldlike a solution to my problem with this aircraft. roadrabbit Intel i9900K @ 3.60 GHz, nVidia RTX 2080i (11 GB RAM onboard), 32 GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 1TB SSD, 500 GB SSD, ASUSTek Tuf Z390-Plus Mobo (LGA1151); Running P3Dv5.4, MSFS2020 and XPlane11;
January 8, 20233 yr @roadrabbit149 It may be related to your installation. Read through these instructions very carefully following each step. https://carenado.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046625614-Installing-Carenado-aircraft-in-P3Dv5 Be sure you are using the P3D version 4 installer and selecting P3D version 4, then browsing to P3Dv5. Don't skip the second step to select the v4 option.
