Is that what's causing the lights on my 787 to look like that on the tarmac? For many it isn’t. No. Per above. Qw needs to update plane for hf2. Is there a way to disable real light per aircraft by editing the panel.cfg? Well clearly LM changed the lighting without providing proper guidance to the developers. However, countless developers have figured it out and offered light patches quickly to their customers. Usually Flightbeam is on the cutting edge. I'm surprised they are the last big developer to figure this out. Regarding the 787. I have no idea. I don't think it's reallight considering its outside the airplane. You just have to wait for them (QW) to patch it. They said they are working on it. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

If a developer uses effects files to control the appearance of external lights, and simply ports the P3DV4 *.fx files to V5, this is exactly what will result. The external lighting effects that look fine in V4 will be much too bright if used in V5. This happened in the initial V5 release of the FSW Falcon 50 and Lear 35. The developer had to change some parameters in the .fx files for V5 to reduce the intensity. I don’t know if there is any specific guidance in the P3DV5 SDK as to what may have changed in the effects settings, or if it simply something that aircraft developers will have to figure out by experimenting.
