I haven't bothered to look at the documentation to see which product is responsible for it, but in P3Dv5 with the NGXu, I discovered that pressing the backslash (\) key will bring up a flashlight for seeing in the cockpit at night. Pressing a 2nd time gives a red flashlight, and the 3rd time switches it off. Nice!

As an older simmer, I think this was beautifully implemented. Makes dark and cold starts really immersive, reminds me of preflighting my real flights in the early morning hours with white and red flashlights 👍😎

tried tonight pitch dark c and d start in VR very realistic . Mapped a button on joytick for easy access.
