A32NX has fixed the ASOBO bug which is going to be rolled out by ASOBO within the next update. I update the A32X mod every day to be completly up to date.

But when MCE is able to get data from the ASOBO vanilla bug bus 1.11.6 and A32X mod have fixed the bug...why does MCE doesn't get any data? That's curious, isn't it? 😉

If data not coming...

Be aware MCE (mce.exe) communicates with "Simco64.ldr.exe" which in turn interacts with the sim via Simconnect.

The files are both digitally signed and will work nicely when in default C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\ folder and without disabling UAC nor running the sim as admin.

Check your anti-virus isn't interfering with those files and that you didn't shutdown "Simco64_Ldr.exe" by accident..

The other possibility, maybe you altered "C:\Program Files (x86)\ folders permissions, which is never a good thing to do.

See this thread, in order to see the strange things that can happen when you override that folder access rights.

In the meantime I have tried everything over and over again. Today another one: Re-installed MCE to default folder with UAC enabled and started MSFS2020 A32NX and MCE received data! Great 🙂 Shut down MSFS2020 to get sure it was not only a coincidence. Started MSFS2020 again, loaded everything as before ...loop again. 😞 Task manager shows Simco64.ldr.exe is running fine and mce.exe stopped with +not responding+ flag.

Frustrating because nothing- really nothing- has changed my rig or folders ...except the DEC updates of MSFS2020.

You may not be aware, unlike FSX or Prepar3D that shutdown almost immediately, it could take up to a minute for MSFS 2020 to close itself down.

Just seeing the window close doesn't mean it has fully shutdown.

"Simco64_Ldr.exe" typically waits until MSFS signals simconnect session is closing before shutting down.

I suggest before you restart MCE, make sure the app above isn't running, otherwise it could still be hooked to previous simulator session.

Use CTRL+ALT+DEL to invoke task manager and under "processes", when you shutdown MSFS, see how long "flightsimulator.exe" is still around.

Hi Gerald and a very merry Christmas and stay safe.

My problem has not been solved after all the readings and those attempts:

  • deinstalled MCE completely via the Windows Control Centre
  • resetting of all folder permissions inside the C.\Program Files (x86) in comparison to a parallel W10-64 default installation to sort out permission issues
  • default installation with UAC default settings
  • both exe files (MCE / Simco64_Ldr) are able to start
  • Simco64_Ldr.exe works while checking with CTRL+ALT+DEL without any problems
  • MCE.exe starts working ... and falls back to error

The program mce.exe version 2.8.9.2 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.
 Process ID: 2644
 Start Time: 01d6da185535fcbd
 Termination Time: 10
 Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\mce.exe
 Report Id: 0e595415-ad43-46a7-b24c-0c5ec3740089
 Faulting package full name:
 Faulting package-relative application ID:
 Hang type: Unknown

I try and run the A32NX mod under FS2020 Premium.

Cheers,

Merry Christmas.

If you have aggessive anti-virus like "Bitdefende" or "Malwarebyte", tell them to trust those 2 files as they are digitally signed.

Usually isues could be related to specific multimedia devices, as nobody else has reported issues with V2.8.9.2

Temporarily disconnect all devices, except keyboard mouse and headset. See if it starts without issues.

If it doesn't, go to C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Multi Crew Experience\ and open "mce.ini"

Change "Debug=0" to "Debug=1".

Restart MCE and it should generate a "Startup.log" in that folder.

That would give us a clue where it stalled.

Send "Startup.log" to support e-mail

Thanks

Hi there guys

I have some information to share.

For those who have incredibly slow download speeds when downloading and updating msfs, I remember MCE team also had this issue at launch, i have found the solution in case you still need it to update.

You have to use a vpn. I know that expressvpn, UK Docklands works perfect. They have a free trial so you can test it out.

Expressvpn is very expensive though compared to other vpn providers. fortunately all of them provide free trials for you to test if you're looking for cheaper options, so if you have this issue like me, you can use a vpn to  update the game with your current speeds.

PROBLEM SOLVED.🙂

The hint was to disable ATC=1 to ATC=0 in the mce.cfg and set ATC=Others.

Works for me and many thanks to Ben to his support.

Happy to report, as of today, MCE has been updated for full integration with both FlyBywie mod as well as Aerosoft CRJ.

Grab your free update

Do not use the patch.

You need to un-install previous MCE version via Windows Control Panel. not remove anything manually and just download (save), unzip and install latest.

Those using MSFS, please read pdf document "Using MCE with MSFS 2020"
