Day One Surprises in MSFS Marketplace

Featured Replies

While I have no inside knowledge, I predict that some of the Wish List features often requested for the new sim will indeed be available on Day One -- from the in-game Marketplace. Perhaps it's VR or helicopters or TrackIR or full multi-monitor support. Perhaps these extra features won't be included in the base sim but can be purchased immediately from the Marketplace. From a business point of view, this would certainly make more sense than including these extras in the base sim for free.

Helicopters!!

I still don't understand how in a simulator whose greatest achievement and advance is his incredible visual, which enjoys flying low and slow, they didn't include helicopters.

Or is it part of a strategy to sell them as extras? 🙂

This would make a lot more sense if the sim were being released about two years from now. 🙂

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Personally, I hope to see the last 40 of the promised 80 hi FI airports, as predicted by Gripper sim.

i think that helicopters could be another great surprise although we do know that they entered the wish list long after Asobo set off with the sim many years ago. It seams to me though that the strategy this time around has been to add much more content in the base Sim on an unprecedented scale leaving fewer things for the market place. However, this I do not think apply to the helicopters and I think we could see them on release day. Take also into account that in one of the feature discovery videos was found a toggle for showing heliports on the world map, meaning that helicopters are not so far away 🤞

It has been said by Asobo they intend to add helicopters later but they're not happy with how their aerodynamic simulation handles them at present.

I dont think track ir/vr will be on the marketplace. They will be free additions if/when included. It will be planes and airports. Probably those outside of the edition you buy when purchasing. More will then come later.

What is that supposed to mean? The Airport episode stated they'd have 80 more detailed airports, and some of them being iconic without stating a number back then. Now with the release information I'd guess these are the 30/35/40 included in the different versions. Don't see any contradiction to what they said. What "missing" 40 should that be?

But 80 minus 40 is 40 ... Or ...?
There are 40 airports included in Premium - 35 of them are in deluxe, and 30 of them are in standard.

what am I missing?

Yes of course, as I understand the video: there are 80 more detailed airports. I'd assume these are in all editions. At least I have no information that states different. Standard: 50 +30 iconic, Deluxe 45 +35 iconic, Premium 40 +40 iconic. So what 40 airports are "missing" and even more why they should be in the marketplace I don't really get. But I'm not in the alpha so that's just my assumption.
