July 31, 20205 yr What happened to the 3D buildings and objects on Bing maps. I thought it would give me an good indication of the level of detail coverage MFS would have in my area but the bird's eye view only give a slanted view of the flat image, or am I missing something. I am sure the 3D views were available in Bing before but I can not find it. Johan Pienaar
July 31, 20205 yr Check the Microsoft Maps app. It's different from Bing maps. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
July 31, 20205 yr Author Thanks, got the app and I can see 3D buildings in the US but nothing in my area of the world (South Africa) 😞 Johan Pienaar
July 31, 20205 yr Honestly, photogrammetry is still a bit of a gimmick anyway in its current implementation in the sim. I won't go into too much detail here, but both the photogrammetry scenery as well as the standard autogen scenery have their advantages and drawbacks. In many cases, I actually prefer the AI-generated autogen buildings.

Gets unrealistic the closer you get (especially details are not depicted very good) + loading issues. Standard scenery: Doesn't look as realistic, but looks better up close. Better performance. No, I am not an Alpha tester. 😄 Edited July 31, 20205 yr by tweekz Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
