Nitpicking a brilliant looking game

Featured Replies

I'm sorry, I posted about this in another thread but I see now this was probably the better place for it:

I have 2 pet peeves regarding the visuals and wondering how others feel about it ( I realize of course its all just artistic opinion so thats why Im curious about it):

1. Runway lights being much too brightly lit at nite ( I hate it). The airport should look like a black hole at nite until you get much closer in, not a well lit xmas tree from miles away.

2. Runway textures are always horribly cartoon-ish (instead of look like im about to touch down on cement they look like grey magic marker drawn strips, really ruin the realism for me).

Im wondering why MS has never improved upon either of these things, and how others might feel about them, personally.

...you're gonna be in for a shock when you learn about this. And if I recall correctly, there was also a game where you play a serial killer although the name of it escapes me....

Why was I not surprised that the game you linked to was Japanese? Japan is home to many wondrous things, phenomenal model kits, excellent videogame companies.... and also corners the world market in outright bizarre and weird!

I've flown "aid" missions in FSX to disaster areas - no harm in this kind of flying IMHO. The only crashing I need to see as it happens is the one in which I'm involved in because I screwed up..

FWIW Al, One of the serial killer games is Friday the 13th: The Game. One player gets to play Jason, the others get to play the campsite counsellors.

Another "popular" one is Dead by Daylight - one monstrous killer versus survivors. The survivors have to run around fixing up generators in the environment in order to trigger the exit and escape. They can rescue other survivors from the clutches of the killer, if he/she hasn't dispatched them already.

These are kind of a violent and gory hide and seek game.
