August 20, 20205 yr I'm having some issues also using a Saitek X52 it goes from one extreme to another. I have to use alot of joystick for take off which then results in a massive pitch. Would this be more of a deadzone setting?
August 20, 20205 yr @Flight_Bandit_ Usually an X52 is calibrated correctly after connecting it, but who knows maybe it's not. Maybe you could follow the steps depicted here to see if it helps: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/how-to-calibrate-your-joystick-yoke/129335 Edited August 20, 20205 yr by RudyB24 Always have fun --0-- Flight Sim Navigation
August 20, 20205 yr The nice thing about the CH HOTAS is that you can set (either or both): the response curve and the overall travel limit. Anywhere from 0 to 100. The "overall limit": adjustment means if you pull the stick all the way over to the right it will only move the surfaces 1/2 of the normal travel if set to 50. On the other hand, the response curve does not limit travel, but just changes the response from linear to logrythmic to reduce twitchiness but keeps full travel. Once you get both adjustments where you want you save that controller map. You can save a different map for each plane if you want. These adjustments are done outside the simulator and a given map works in any simulation. You can setup 6 or 7 controller sensitivity maps and use any of them with one mouse click in any simulation Edited August 20, 20205 yr by Fielder 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. November 5, 20205 yr I believe that the user should indeed have a way of calibrating them the input/output of the controls, specially knowing that many of the aerodynamics responses to pilotage are *exponential*. One example of this is the fact that the power required vs the power available variation with velocity in a propeller driven aircraft is *not* linear.
