Custom Toolbar - Weather

Featured Replies

The Custom Toolbar Weather Symbol has disappeared and it is greyed out in CTB setting. What could cause this? Yesterday it was there.

Its availability depends on whether you are using Live settings or not.

Sorry, but this exactly the button where I choose Live or Not Live Weather which has disappeared. Or is the another setting in the General Settings? I cannot see it.

When you set up your flight, you can opt to use real time settings (live) or you can alter the time and weather etc for your flight to something you fancy. Which one of these you choose to go for affects whether the weather can then be adjusted on that tool bar, since one is the current real-world situation and the other is one you picked.

I too have just discovered I have this same problem. Its just disappeared,  and in the custom menu it is also greyed out.

I typically start a flight with live weather, but have always had access to the weather icon in the toolbar. Now starting a flight with Live weather and Live traffic off, I still do not have the weather option in my tool bar.

Any suggestions please?

I am having the same issue. It started after I first tried to play online with a friend... now no matter what settings I select from world map amd flight conditions..... during gameplay I have to custom weather icon to click to change settings like time and weather.

I seem to remember way back another item on the toolbar being greyed. i had the problem at the time but my CRS is keeping me from remembering the fix.

Edit: Here, I found it. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/582372-atc-greyed-out-in-toolbar/?tab=comments#comment-4321476

Maybe the fix in that will fix your problem too.

Not at my pc right now anymore but I recall there is one multiplayer setting under the weather screen  when setting up a flight from the map view which prevents changing weather since all use the same weather, possibly the flying with friends theme, do not remember. Could be a reason for shamwowmike since he flew with a friend. Plus these settings are kept for next flights unless changed before the next flight. Means once set and forgotten to change you will keep flying with those settings
