August 19, 20205 yr That is beyond frustrating! I don't think I have any helpful insight. Were you able to figure out your steam install directory issue? Perhaps it has something to do with that? I'm guessing you don't want to try a reinstall? What if you log out of Steam, reboot and re-login. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 19, 20205 yr One other simple thing I can think of...is that some folks like to leave their pc's running 24/7. I doubt that Rob would do this but if that's the case then perhaps a simple reboot will clear the issue. Edited August 19, 20205 yr by hangar Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons
August 19, 20205 yr What's the size of your page file? Try setting it to the size of your physical RAM and try it then. I was having the same crash-on-load issue and that fixed it for me. James
August 19, 20205 yr @robert young Robert Had similar problems with my first attempt in Alpha, plus very low frame rates 2-10 FPS if it ever started. In my case even though Win 10 said Up to date, I had to click on check for updates more than 3-4 times, and every time it installed something. The last one fixed my problem It was and Intel Graphics Driver Update. Don't know why or how that update fixed my problems as I don't use the integrated graphics but an RTX2070S. I had tried everything. (nvidia drivers, audio drivers, mouse & keyboard only, reinstall, chkdsk, cleanup, fsc /scannow, and even dism after a complete backup) Hope that help.
