August 20, 20205 yr It looks like it might not be possible but wanted to see if any of the gurus could tell me otherwise. I am running a 3 + 1 monitor setup with the FS2020 running spanning 3 x 32" monitors using Nvidia surround. I have an additional monitor embedded in a DIY dashboard which I want to display instruments/G1000. In FSX I could create a new window looking at the panel and drag that to my extra dash monitor. This would give a virtual set of instruments so I am not looking at the half cut off instruments on the main screen. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do this with FS2020? FSX running:

Given that this is certainly a major aspect of the FS community I expect it will be a feature eventually. The sim already lets you break out the various dialogs you can open from the top in-flight menu Drew Sikora Staff Blog Founder/Designer, MSE Airports

August 20, 20205 yr I am running a three-monitor setup as well, but my GPU is AMD so I use their Eyefinity (equivalent Nvidia surround). The problem I am having is that, like you, I have te monitors surrounding me (not flat against the wall). On X-Plane the image shows with no distortion but on MSFS the side monitors are "stretched" horizontally in a horrible manner (see picture). Does yours look like the picture you posted above (from FSX), or is it stretched like mine? If not, how did you configure it? Thanks!
August 20, 20205 yr If you limit the angle at which the displays are set (all 3 more in line) the stretching effect will be less annoying (however you will not enjoy the sense of speed with your perpheral vision). This is how the sim is currently set - you are looking at the world through one flat panoramic window. By the way - in the X-plane using 3 separate displays with individual angles affected FPS terribly, there were actually 3 separate X-plane instance running, talking to each other. So after some experimenting even in the X-plane if switched to such distorted view with nVidia Surround - much smaller FPS impact of increased resolution. To look sideways I use TrackIR.

September 17, 20205 yr This plugin offers support to MSFS2020! It lets you use a separate monitor as an instrument panel. https://simplugins.com/html/analog.html
September 18, 20205 yr Author That looks great but I shouldn't have to pay half the value of the product I already bought, to do something it should already do...

Hover over your G1000, press & hold the right Alt key, your cursor should turn into a '+'. Left click. The G1000 will open in a new window. Also works for the backup flight display on the TBM930, for instance. AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
