August 20, 20205 yr I'm baffled as to why I can only set the right throttle in the MSFS UI. In all of my joystick tester utilities, the right throttle shows up as the Z axis and the left throttle shows up as the RZ axis. Unfortunately, I can't figure out what the equivalent axis setting is in the MSFS UI. It is possible to do with FSUIPC6 and P3d5, but I haven't taken the time to use the FSUIPC 7 beta with MSFS, as then I have to create an MSFS controller profile with all the all MSFS axes, etc. deleted to prevent conflicts. Or is there a way to disable the automatic joystick detection, as is possible in P3d5? Has anybody come up with a solution? I've checked the MSFS subreddit and a few other online forums, but so far, no joy.
August 20, 20205 yr Click on the little looking glass and move the left throttle, then it should show you what axis it is. August 20, 20205 yr I have the Warthog and have successfully mapped the left throttle to mixture....I think it's the R axis in Flightsim UI....but it doesnt appear when you highlight the input box....Need to find which axis it is labelled as under Sensitivities.... Hope this helps Neil Edited August 20, 20205 yr by neilydone
August 20, 20205 yr Author Thanks. It's the R-Joystick Axis Z. When I tried that yesterday, MSFS complained that it was already assigned, but today when I tried it, it worked. Did either of you change the sensitivity settings on the throttle axes? I already assigned buttons 29 and 30 to decrease throttle 1/2 to account for the reverse thrust.
August 20, 20205 yr Nope I didn't touch it...100% mixture means going past the AB detent though...and 0% mixture is what DCS would recognise as Idle
August 20, 20205 yr Jay did you make a new profile for the aircraft your setting up? I find it best to copy the default, name it to the aircraft you want, then edit. Ive not tried a twin yet to help you more sorry. Edited August 20, 20205 yr by Nyxx David Murden. August 20, 20205 yr I had the same problem. For FS2020 i made a new Target script which had the left throttle axis commented out. I removed the // in front of it and hopla... both throttles recognized. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600.
