any way to correct this terrain anomoly - water level

Featured Replies

Flying east of ENGS I came across some terrain anomolies apparently related to height of water features.  see screenshot.  I'm running 1920x1080, Nvidia 1060.  Using 'ultra' settings.

I have a hunch. The vector data for those lakes is probably correct. What is incorrect is the mesh. It's resolution is too low, That's why the surrounding terrain is at a different altitude then the lakes.

Only two ways to cure this:

a) Bing updates their service with a worldwide proper mesh, not the low resolution they use now,

b) Add-On Mesh becomes a thing so that one can either use the Freemesh, or FS Global.

I hope B... it’s amazing what a 10 year old freeware can do compared to something that was released in 2020. Still love the sim tho.

If you fly to Panama and see the locks of the new expanded canal, it's an utter disaster as well. Lots of water and mesh anomalies in many places in the Caribbean as well.

Yellowknife in Canada is a real mess not worth flying in.  Same issues as your screenshot but worse.  Love the sim though!!!
