Automatic Takeoff

Featured Replies

Since getting the new sim I have flown several times without any problems.  Now all of a sudden when I go to fly, the planes takeoff by themselves and fly without any input from my controls.  In fact, the controls depicted on screen don't move.  Don't know what I may have changed that is causing this.  All planes are doing this and I can't control them.  Any suggestions on what is happening?  Thanks for any guidance.

Make sure you dont have "ai flies the plane"

In your settings at the top of the screen

OK, I'll check it tomorrow.   Have already shut down for the night and ready for bed.  Will let you know tomorrow.  Thanks.

Hey Theboot100,

That was the problem.  I don't remember ever changing that option, but who knows.  Thanks a bunch for that tip because I was at a loss.

Skynet. Just sayin. 🤣

Sometimes I like to have the AI land so I can go to the passenger window view and enjoy.  I did this in the A320 at heathrow, just awesome.

That happened to me. Apparently the sim remembers if you give the copilot controls even if you start a new flight. CTRL+ALT×X will toggle copilot on/off. Pressed that key combo and was able to control the plane myself.
