SAITEK PRO FLIGHT THROTTLE QUADRANT + FS2020

Featured Replies

Hi!
I installed the new FS2020 (new Win10 64 bit).
However, SAITEK PRO FLIGHT THROTTLE QUADRANT does not work properly under Win10. I installed the latest driver (calibrated) but it doesn't display properly in the simulator. In the control settings, the "X" and "Y" axes are incorrect: 0-100% pushed only moves to 0-50% and then jumps to 100%.
I've tried several things already, but unfortunately it doesn't work. (no other controller).
What could be the solution? Thanks!

I have the same set up with the same problem as you. Unless there has been a new driver release since a few days ago when I last checked, the Logitech folk are supposed to be working on a new driver that will allow 2020 to pick up the throttle quadrant as well (I hope) allow 2020 to assign the reverse throttle detente that presently goes unnoticed by 2020. Let us know if you know differently about the driver.

Strange, I'm using two Saitek throttle quadrants, on Win 10. I have no problems what so ever. I wish I cold help, but...

im also using two without issue, however I do not have any drivers installed as it is not necessary (well, only the ones provided by windows10 but it doesnt come with any driver app).

Does it work correctly in the windows game controller app?

If it does, then you probably have it assigned incorrectly in the game. Check to make sure its not assigned to the -100 to +100 axis...choose the 0-100 only.

If it doesnt function correctly in the windows game controller app then try unplugging it and re-plugging it from the usb port.

The Saitek / Logitech Throttle Quadrant is recognized and works fine.

Just set the axis to 0-100 ( instead of -50 to +50)

Hello hangar or Paladin2005!
Thank you for your answers.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to set this.
Where and how do I do it?
(when I plug it in, it appears in the control panel:

Thank you in advance for your help.

You set the axis in-game, in the sim. When you select which power axis's you want assigned to your levers make sure to choose the 0-100 options (not the ones that say negative numbers).

Unfortunately, this is not possible in the simulator (I can't find it).

I made a video to you see what could be wrong:
Link:  https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1bJdWLMXmg-OUtDDL3zXG7agyDl7x7mfc

I move the throttle quadrant arms in a row (from left to right).
The "X" and "Y" levers work the same. The "Z" lever is different (last).
It cannot be improved with sensitivity or dead zone options.
I hope this helps you find a solution.
Have any idea?

You have not assigned an axis yet to the levers...change your filter from "assigned" to "all" and you'll find the throttle prop and mixture axis'

I also have two Saitek / Logitech Throttle Quadrant's. Both seem to work fine if I can keep one of the profiles from reverting back to the default setting. One of the Quads (same one) keeps reverting back to the default setting or at least it is blank when I look at it after bringing up the "Controls" window, the other Quad is not blank and shows the profile I last saved in it. I have set ups for single engine land (1 and 2) and jet engines (right and left; thus far). I will eventually create one for a twin engine turbo, but I'm hoping to solve why one of them keeps reverting back to the default.

As a side note, I think it would be sweet if you could rename similar devices (e.g., SaitekA and SaitekB); sweeter if you could associate a given profile(s) with an airplane type...such as one can in X-Plane 11.

The problem here is not what is assigned to the axes. There is a problem with the movement of the 0-100% arms.
The video also shows that the arms do not work properly in the range of 0-100% (it is not possible to calibrate in the simulator). The X and Y levers only work up to 50% between 0-100% movement and then suddenly jump to 100% at the end.

I had this exact problem last month in FSX. Two of the three axis did not work right. One axis did. It was a new TQ (for use with multi-engine) and because I couldn’t adjust it correctly, I assumed it was a hardware issue and sent it back. The replacement has not yet arrived.

It didn’t matter if the the ‘bad’ TQ was assigned as the right engine or left. It did the same thing. The TQ that plugs into the yoke works just fine.

I don’t know for sure if it was hardware. In the Windows calibration window, it recognized the full range of use. But FSX would not work right no matter what I did.

Unfortunately, this is not a solution either. I think the FS2020 is still too new and an update will be added later to calibrate the controllers.
Only the "Z" axis works correctly. You can see the rest in the video: The controller will be interesting at 50%...

If it's calibrated properly within the windows 10 game controller app, then it's how you have it assigned currently in game. If it is NOT properly calibrated within the windows 10 game controller app then either there's an issue wth the controller itself or you might need a reboot or a repluging of the unit. USB units are typically auto calibrating.

You have assign the mixture to -100 to +100 which is not good...and the game must also have the other 2 levers assigned to other commands that you haven't noticed yet. Again...this is assuming that all levers work fine in the win10 applet.

Hardly, but I found the solution ... it helped:
