MSFS Keyboard mappings problem

Featured Replies

Hello all (again)

1. "Your content will need to be approved by a moderator."  Can someone tell me what this is all about on this forum (starting new topic causes it I think)

2. I am somewhat mystified again guys and girls,

I have mapped a take off view of my cockpit to (Save Custom camera) to ctrl + Alt + numberpad 0.  I have mapped Numberpad 0 to "load custom camera 0"  When I click on numberpad 0 once, I get a different screen and then pressing numberpad 0 again will give me my saved screen.

I repeated this procedure with numberpad 1  but this does nothing at all and the same applies to all my numberpad1-9 mappings.

Has anyone any idea what may be going wrong here.  I have to admit that basically I am trying to mimic XPlane mappings for views.

Regards

Tony

Hello all,

I just submitted this but it does not appear to have lodged. If it does seem duplicated, you know why LOL and I apologise.

I have mapped, via Save custom camera 0, (Ctrl + Alt + NumberPad 0) a preferred cockpit take off view. I have mapped NumberPad 0 to Load Custom Camera 0.

When I click on NumberPad 0 I get a different (although similar) cockpit view. If I click on NumberPad 0 again, I get the allocated cockpit view and it just alternates between the two.

I followed the mapping procedure for views 1-9 using the same method described above, but, clicking on the corresponding NumberPad numbers does absolutely nothing (only the 0 works.

I checked "Select input" for each of those save mappings(1-9) and the corresponding numberpad 1-9  and they are all mapped and no duplications at all.

Another befuddlement for me is that if I am sitting in the cockpit with the wanted cockpit view, and I press Ctrl 1 I get a preset camera view of the MFD which is great, but I cannot get back into my wanted cockpit view again.

Does anybody have a clue what is going on here.

I also wonder how much extra it would cost to have put a manual in this system .... none of this is intuitive at all., but as I said previously in other topics, the rewards of sorting it out are huge.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Tony

You posted this in the Tips and Tricks forum, which clearly states that that forum is only to be used for posting, you guesses it, Tips and Tricks. Any posts there will not show on your end until approved by a mod/admin. The reason being is that people don’t read the top where is says not to post supports issues and we have to keep moving those topics to the main MSFS forum. I merged the topic you posted there with the duplicate you posted in the correct forum.

No problem Tony. I wouldn’t worry about it as many people keep posting in that section and don’t even see the part where it says don’t post here unless it’s for a tip.

Ctr + Alt + 1....9  works on the numbers on the upper keyboard row, NOT the numeric keypad.
