Anyone Else Missing Premium Content - NOT on Steam?

Featured Replies

I know MS fixed the issues with Steam, but there seems to be a bug with the Premium Deluxe version purchased through the MS Store, and I haven't seen any posts about it.

I purchased & installed the game fine on 8/18 and had all the planes & airports included in it. Yesterday I decided to refresh my computer and formatted and reinstalled the Premium Deluxe version I purchased, but now I don't have access the the premium stuff. I only have the Standard planes & airports.
When I look at the game in My Library on the MS Store, it has a "modify" option for the app. When I click "modify", another window appears that shows I have the premium version consisting of a bundle or 4 programs, the basic FS, the Deluxe & Premium versions & the Digital Ownership. What's weird is, when I click on the icon, it brings up a screen that says those upgrades aren't available.

It's almost like it knows I bought them but isn't unlocking them or making them available in the game. It says the only way to get them is with a "redeem code." Is this normal? Is this how it is for others who purchased through the MS Store? I never looked in My Library before because the game worked as intended.

While troubleshooting this, I actually reset the game from the "Uninstall" section, which removes all downloaded data (95.1GB + any cached maps & more) but keeps the actual game itself installed. I then completely uninstalled the game and the Digital Ownership app and then reinstalled it. It did the exact same thing.

When I look in the content manager, I see the missing planes & airports. They're listed as "Up to Date", but they're not downloaded - the area where the size is displayed is blank for all those items. Any thoughts? Thanks!

It is happening to several people and already discussed here:

Yes, several people are affected. I hope they all report that to Zendesk (I did), so MS sees that it is a new issue and not just affecting one or two.

Yes, i have the same problem with Steam version since yesterday. Submitted a ticket to Zendesk. Still no answer. Marvellous !

Does it mean that the streaming can include not only content (images, weather, etc) , but also update to the core without asking first for the consent of the user ? Said updates breaking things which have been working OK.

I don't think "streaming" in the narrow sense of the word (as in scenery streaming during flight). But of course forced software updates can remove things, add things, mess up things. Like Windows itself.

Some users noted that the premium content now seems to require a higher version number of the simulator, but since we don't have that version, the content is inactive, since requirement not met. If that is true, someone must have messed up something maybe in the work on the next patch or so. But who knows... we'll see.

Thanks, Mario. I'm at least thankful to know that it's a known issue and not just me.
