H E L P ! ! ! No Controls At All

Featured Replies

So does anyone know why my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, rudder pedals, and throttles don't work in the sim at all? They used to when i first installed the sim, but when i went to get into it today, NOTHING 😞 I have uninstalled the sim and reinstalled it and still nothing. I can't get anyone from Microsoft or Steam to help me with this. Everyone says i have to come here to have someone know what to do to fix my problem. I don't really like this really. I feel if i spend $120.00 for a sim, i should be able to talk to someone over the phone to help get this working. I'm seriously thinking of going back to FSX Steam. It was much more steady with no issues like this. And i can use all my switch panels in FSX as well which i really miss a ton.

Ah that's a shame! I'm sure this community will be able to help you on your way to a solution!

I think it would be good if you give us a bit more information about your system. Like what peripherals are you trying to connect? Also windows version is good info.

Type control in the windows search field and then click the control icon. This should open the old fashioned Windows control panel. In there look for 'Printers and Devices'.

Can you confirm that your controllers are listed there and when you right click on them you can go to the settings and be able to see the switches and analog controls?

If so ... then Windows sees them. If MFS doesn't, that is strange and a ticket to Zendesk is the least you can do, hoping to get a reply.

If Windows does not see them, then what you can do is try different USB ports and try a PC restart.

stop acting like, a drama queen(sorry), and start to intelligently solve the issue.

Know how you feel - I fired up this morning hoping to sort the remaining settings and found the upgrade waiting which appeared to go well. Tried the Robin and had some issues so went to the C172. Strange thing is after making sure the profile was selected and doing a control check flaps etc - made a normal takeoff out of Sydney  (Well not really a normal takeoff seeing it was in the C172)  Flew ok of for maybe 5 mins then wouldn't respond to any control inputs just flew in a gentle circle till I terminated. After a day trying to sort out view mappings I've had enough. I'm Going for a hassle free flight in X-Plane. Cheers.

Have you restarted Windows? I had a similar issue this morning where everything was fine right up to clicking on Ready to Fly, then suddenly none of the controls would work. Restarting Windows fixed it. I got the impression during the restart that Windows (not FS) had done some sort of update.

I'm finding that if I create another controller profile from the FS Controls menu while focused onto the flightsitck TAB, then I have no aileron and no elevator when I fly with that new profile (I would still have a rudder). If I go back to my 1st 'flightstick' profile which I created, then ailerons and elevators work fine.

So, if I make a new profile while focused on my rudder pedals controller window, then I have no rudder when I fly, etc. (but do have aileron and elevator).

etc. etc. etc.

The only solution I can find is to make changes to my originally created profile, but don't create any new profiles.
