MSFS 2020 specs

Featured Replies

My system was a i7-860 with a Radeon 5770. Warning may not run, and sometimes crashes. Now I updated to a GF1650 Super and first impression is smooth running.

I sincerely wish folks would stop with this "more ram equals better performance" foolishness.

Equals higher settings then?

I am using over 22gb of RAM at bigger cities..

No. Not the case at all. Try removing 16GB from your system and do the same flights. Notice no change in FPS, no change in visuals, even after flying over New York Low level for 2 hours in the A320. Windows and MSFS will use what you give it. It can do perfectly well with 16GB.

More RAM does not equal better performance (FPS)

More RAM does not equal better graphics

More RAM does not let you have higher settings

For MSFS, a fast CPU and GPU with 16GB RAM will blow away any system with 64GB RAM and a slower GPU/CPU. Not saying RAM is not important but it is the least important.

Agreed... Here is one more option that would split the difference.. GTX 1660 Super.

6GB VRAM 🙂

The GTX 1660 Super is indeed an excellent choice for 1080p budget gaming, and what I would recommend in such a situation right now.

To the original poster, if you can stretch your budget to $230, that card would do you really well and would fit nicely with the performance headroom that your CPU can provide.

My pc: I5 [email protected] GHz,  16 GB DDR3, GTX 960.

It's running even above my expectations with all settings at medium.

I never got that message about not meeting the minimum requirements even though i have lower specs than you have..........except for the video card!!!
So, like others here are saying, it looks like it's your video card causing the message and the crash to desktop.
