Well, given that none of the pre-production boards ever got into the hands of a paying customer before they buffed-up the power regulation, I call that a win.

The testers only found out after complaints on reddit from customers they would not have know otherwise, that`s when they had a look and found the problem.

EVGA keep it the same as the FE card, 4+2 so how is that getting found out? Except for EVGA and ASUS, it’s the other AIB makers that went 5+1 or 6 POSCAPS that cheapened out from the intended design. All EVGA did was state that they had discovered it and followed Nvidia’s design.

The EVGA was found to have 5+1 in vid and not the 5+2 of the FE card.

I read that. I also read that EVGA agrees to the crash and they caught it before shipping and why the FTW3 was released. That’s what I said above.

They forgot to tell the customers that purchased them that are having issues on reddit.

I am the OP and have now had the chance to fly FS2020 using both the Gigabyte RTX3080 and  the Palit Gaming PRO RTX3080 and I can confirm that I haven’t had a single crash to desktop whilst flying the sim under fairly testing scenarios .. eg. dense cloud flying around the London area
