RTX 3080 arriving tomorrow

Recommended Posts

At 1080p no change from a 2080ti and if the leaks are rite, the same with the 3090 is the same as the 3080 at 1080p, Nvidia must have been taking notes from the E3 last year when all the talk was about 4K gaming.

And some are saying the 3080 is already out of date with 3080 20GB coming after October.

I ordered the 3080 last Wednesday on Amazon. Amazon, however,  cancelled the already confirmed order altogether.

Did anyone receive the 3080 ?

Wow!  Underwhelming for the price.

MSFS performs in 3090

Hmm, not in 4K if you're going from a 1080ti to a 3090!

That sure is underwhelming.

Not good at all. Looks like the spec was not good enough and the AIBs are making cards that cannot boost without crashing. The FE cards are the way to go, and maybe MSI.

Generally pays to not be part of the first wave onto the beaches. This definitely seems to be the case here. Time to sit back a while and see how this plays out.

Well it seems Asus TUF 3080 was built right! I will order one as soon as the 20Gb comes out. By that time I should have all the rest of the hardware needed for MSFS.

If there was never a 'first wave' you'd have nothing to buy. 🐱

The issue being reported with the 3080’s does not effect the EVGA cards.

That`s EVGA getting found out by the testers cheaper component used. it`s not a mistake but it did not work.

EVGA keep it the same as the FE card, 4+2 so how is that getting found out? Except for EVGA and ASUS, it’s the other AIB makers that went 5+1 or 6 POSCAPS that cheapened out from the intended design. All EVGA did was state that they had discovered it and followed Nvidia’s design.

Well, given that none of the pre-production boards ever got into the hands of a paying customer before they buffed-up the power regulation, I call that a win.
