September 20, 20205 yr Andy, yes, your "Approach" seems a bit "low"....🙂... Seriously, excellent, pictures...and impressive ground-level details....!! (you really need a Heli...hope you get one soon....) [BTW, your Patch experience was smooth, I presume...? I've not been to the "other" side yet....🙂....]
September 20, 20205 yr Wait......this can't be the same MSFS I'm running...yours looks even more phenomenal than anything I've seen before (maybe because you have your settings maxed? I can't run it that way based on my system). Is that add-on scenery (I suspect so)....anyway...do tell the details! 🙂 Unreal shots! (or should we change that catch phrase to "Real" now) 😉 Looking to see a lot more screens from your system! EDIT 51 mins later.... Duh Steve......look at the title....google Orbx EGTB....and answer your own dang question! (Saved the trouble of you having to type that Andy...keep the pics coming. May have to pick this scenery up!) 🙂 Edited September 20, 20205 yr by Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here

Actually, I don't really yearn for a heli now that I've got my drone camera under control. I was never bothered about trying to actually master a helicopter - don't have the patience, they were just great to be able to hover and take screenies. It'll be nice to have one (or two, or twelve) but the drone is the toy for exploring now. And yes, the patch seems to have gone well (apart from giving me a nasty shock by putting all my settings to "low" on my first flight afterwards - I thought my system had blown up) 1 hour ago, John F said: Very enjoyable post. Keep it up (or down in this case)! John Cheers John. I do tend to prefer this sort of level of exploration when the scenery's this good. 1 hour ago, Steve Dra said: Wait......this can't be the same MSFS I'm running...yours looks even more phenomenal than anything I've seen before (maybe because you have your settings maxed? When I saw the original announcement about MSFS last year I thought (hoped) that this would be what I'd been waiting for, sim-wise, so I took a risk and got myself upgraded. Originally I bought a Titan RTX to go in to my existing machine (i7-4790k) and that worked well, but then I thought offensive initials not allowed, and got a whole new rig. 3950x, 64gb etc, moved the Titan across along with all my drive space. So yes, I've got a bit of a monster at the moment, no doubt it'll feel puny in a few years but hey-ho. It's been the one upside of the lousy economic environment of recent years - cheap money courtesy of almost zero interest rates. This sim experiencve was bought to you by Mastercard! So yes, I do have everything running at ultra or max. The sim still seems to only use four threads, but the Titan is running at occasional 100% busy (but rarely above about 12-15gb vram - in XP I get much higher vram use but lower gpu busy). And I definitely recommend this scenery if you're into this sort of low level detail. 1 hour ago, pmplayer said: You ever see sutch a quality in an other sim ?? 😎 Amazing, nice shots.. Thanks PMP, and Orbx's True Earth in XP is pretty much equal for my tastes. But this new sim covers areas and details that are never going to be done by third parties at any significant level of detail which makes it the future as far as I'm concerned. TE Florida and US West Coast is great, but outside there XP is a bit barren for my taste, even with ortho. And don't get me started on Landclass stuff. Some bits look great but the whole "wrong tile" thing destroys all credibility for me. That's what gets me excited also. Looking forward to exploring Chile, Argentina, China, etc. John
