Nvidia Controlpanel settings have no effect on the Sim?

Featured Replies

Hello,

As above...i tried setting up Vsync via the control panel but they seem to have no effect. For example when i set up my monitor for 120Hz and in the Control panel the Vsync to half refresh rate i'd expect the sim to run @60FPS but it still runs @120 or at least tries to achieve them. Same for all other settings.

Am i missing something here?

Use RTSS, link in my signature.

NVIDIA CP is hit and miss in most games, best is to forget about it.

Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20

If your monitor is G-Sync compatible, then use that option + V-Sync in the Nvidia panel, it works great on my 100hz freesync monitor.

Just limit the frames to the same number of your vsync setting. So, if you use 1/2 refresh rate in 120 Hz, just limit to 60 frames. I use the limiter version 2, giving very precise results and in this combo a very smooth ride.
