October 5, 20205 yr But it costs more than a used 737 or MD80, and for less than twice the price you could buy a used A340, so no thanks.
October 5, 20205 yr Thanks. Three of the aircraft I've used a lot so far is the c152, c172 Steam and C172 g1000. The Icon got a little bit of use as well. But I'm looking forward to upgrading to the TBM cause it's faster and my usual and favorite route in the sim (EGGP to EGLC) wouldn't take three hours. This guide looks like a great introduction to the aircraft.

Old used jetliners are kind of like old used Rolls Royces. Sure, you can buy 'em for a relative song, but what you spend to run them will drain your wallet faster than an identity thief. Buy the old MD80 for less than a TBM - then actually start flying it and paying for the fuel. Guarantee the guy who bought the TBM will spend less than you. Yes but I have a private oil well in a back corner of my Texas estate so fuel is not an issue, and the chap who services my Bugatti collection says he knows a thing or two about aircraft engines, so I’m very tempted to buy an old 737 for fishing trips and low level VFR flying over our National Parks and wildlife reserves.
