"Not Started" & "Backlog"

Boy oh boy did I see a lot of "Not Started" & "Backlog" in the dev update yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY thankful to have a new sim and that we have great devs working on it, however, I feel like some simple things should get fixed/updated a little quicker. In MY opinion, some small updates should not have to wait til update 9. Anyways, I am NOT complaining just pointing something out.

If you feel that some things should be updated more quickly then head over to the official forums and vote for those threads. Most of the issues marked as "Not Started" and "Backlog" are concentrated on the bottom half of the lists (maybe less so with Top Bugs but then most are not actual bugs but rather requests).

Update 9 might seem distant, but it should arrive in December if they retain their current cadence, but could slip to January if it is not complete before the holidays.

No problem to state that opinion at all.  I love the sim and I think Asobo are very open, but a lot of us are impatient, and some of the timescales are slightly disappointing.

I think they are feeling the squeeze a bit, and some of the software bugs / issues have proven to be interlinked, which has caused some of the regression problems it seems, so it isn't always as easy as we think it is.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

You did not mention the "NOT A PRIORITY" diss! ASOBO does not like trains! 😄

I am personally looking forward to what they're doing about control sensitivity. They moved the corresponding thread into the Resolved Bugs section of their forum. But on the Feedback snapshot it is stated as "NOT STARTED", yet with a release of "UPDATE 5".

Happy with MSFS 🙂

I have the feeling they confused this with the sensitivity screen bug, which could be why it was listed as fixed in an earlier Feedback Snapshot.

I agree. That was my suspicion as well. But as it is listed as "NOT STARTED" and "UPDATE 5", I also suspect them to be aware of the aerodynamic sensitivity issue.

If they are not interested in moving trains in the near future (not a priority is a nice way of saying that 😁) then it leaves the way open for a third party, and it is probably best handled that way.

At least then you could have the option whether to buy the 'Train Pack' or not.

I must admit, I want them to concentrate on the core issues at the moment.  Things like train packs can dress it up a little later.

If I was a developer, I would see this as an opportunity.  Dovetail Games - where are you?  LOL!
