October 11, 20205 yr Regarding the Garmin code: I don't think that ASOBO reengineering Garmin Intellectual property is efficient or legal. So I'm assuming this is not being done. My thought would be that existing Gamin libraries could be used directly or imported and then used with various interfaces to make them FS2020 friendly. Some hooks into the SDK could also be added. Licensing would be used here. The point is that ASOBO would not be reinventing the wheel because Garmin has already done the heavy lifting. Finally, the Garmin code could in no way be available to the end users, again due to Licensing. This is how I would approach development of the Garmin gauges. A sound codebase is the result of sound design decisions made way upfront.
