I wish I could give that post a billion upvotes.

But the simple truth is that a lot of customers in general and many people here in particular just don't care. They want it and they want it now, and that's that.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Regarding the Garmin code:

I don't think that ASOBO reengineering Garmin Intellectual property is efficient or legal.  So I'm assuming this is not being done.

My thought would be that existing Gamin libraries could be used directly or imported and then used with various interfaces to make them FS2020 friendly.  Some hooks into the SDK could also be added.  Licensing would be used here.

The point is that ASOBO would not be reinventing the wheel because Garmin has already done the heavy lifting.

Finally, the Garmin code could in no way be available to the end users, again due to Licensing.

This is how I would approach development of the Garmin gauges.

Frankly, it is posts like your's above that makes me regret that we removed the "Downvote" option... 😐

"Asobo didn´t fix the AP problem simply because they don´t know how to do it."

At least it is true for sure that Asobo didn`t implement the Autopilot in a good state right now. It might be not that far-fetched.

People seem to be pushing for the whole sim to be perfect in such a small timeframe. This is crazy.

A sound codebase is the result of sound design decisions made way upfront.
