No Microsoft windows updates to mess up my setup and I have more flight sim hardware and software bells and whistles to keep me occupied for years--literally. I am enjoying my sim more than ever simply because I have no stress dealing with stuff that won't work and spend 100% of my time in the aircraft. Which is why I'm sticking with Win7 pro. I have a couple of good anti virus protections software, of course firewall, malware protection, and I, knock on wood, seem to be just fine....so sticking with P3Dv4.5 and XP11.5. October 16, 20205 yr When it comes to OS, I think there's nothing wrong with having something older. I don't like windows updates, they seem to be constantly causing more problems than solutions, and I believe due to windows updates my computer has gotten slower and slower over the years, and I'd say now its about 25% the speed of what it was when I first got it a few years ago. It's disappointing that you really cant disable them in windows 10. I think windows 7 is an overall good OS. Even if it becomes unsupported I dont think that would change anything if your sim/ software is compatible. Only time it might be neccicary to upgrade is if your doing something like MSFS 2020 which requires it.
