October 17, 20205 yr After installing the latest MCE for MSFS2020, I started getting Malwarebytes messages about FNPLicensingService64.exe. I checked Services and FNPLicensingService64.exe automatically runs...I've changed this to manual until I find out if MCE requires this... If not, start MCE and it shouldn't pop-up Besides this, FlexnetLicensing is a genuine app and used by some add-ons, Malwarebyte (and also Bitdefender) is one of those AV that are trigger happy with false positives. It sees software protection as potential malware simply because it cannot parse the file. Neither Microsoft Defender, nor the big names like Norton would do that. It's mostly the free AVs out there (AVG, Avira, Avast to name a few) competing for your attention in order to get you to buy the payware version. They give the illusion they are super protective when it's mostly false alarms. I hope you're not counting on them to catch Ransomware. If they stay there not reporting any issues, people won't see the point of keping them alongside Windows built-in AV. It's a tough one for them. Obviously, this is just my opinion, and you could have your own reasons for using MalwareBytes Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
October 17, 20205 yr Author Thank you...not sure why this started all of the sudden. But, glad to know it is not needed for MCE. I definitely will continue to use Malwarebytes...it has never been a problem and has definitely found issues. Anyway, thanks for the quick feedback.
