Possible to Keybind TBM's "eninge" lever?

Featured Replies

Good evening!

As the title says...i was asking myself if it is possible to assign the "whatever it is called" mixture/condition lever in the TBM as i find it quite uncomfortable to adjust it with the mouse.

And if yes, which command would that be?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

I played around a bit and found that with the default keyboard throttle assignments (F1 to F4) you can get 'some limited' control of the Throttle:

Cut Throttle,  F1   (Moves throttle to Taxi in the TBM 930)
 Decrease Throttle,  F2
 Increase Throttle,  F3

(F4 is suppose to be Full Throttle, but I couldn't get that to work at all with the TBM 930.)

Then, with the throttle in the Taxi position, you can move it over to the right side and down with CTRL+F4, and then up and back to the left with CTRL+F1.  CTRL+F1 to CTRL+F4 are listed as default Prop commands (CTRL+F2 and CTRL+F3 seem to work 'erratically' with the TBM 930 throttle).

If you are talking about the inertial separator  switch, I'm afraid that there is no assignment set up in the keyboard controls.

If I'm wrong, I would also like to know.

The OP is asking about the throttle (power) lever in the TBM 930 that moves in an unusal H pattern.

The inertial separator switch is likely controlled by an Lvar, and if so, would be easy to assign to a key or button through FSUIPC if the SDK made Lvar access available to FSUIPC. Unfortunately, that is currently not the case.

I love manipulating the "H-shaped" power lever with the mouse. Feels like shifting gears on a high end sports car.

Sorry for the late reply and thx for the heads up!

ark's advice helped and i actually works, but i have an issue when using the Ctrl+F4 (as you expected) with the Throttle lever jumping up and down and sometimes sideways. It's barely controllable.

Best regards,

Tom

Did you find the TMB's 'clutch' that goes with the "four on the floor"?   😄

Not sure if you guys are aware but the Propeller axis actually controls that lever from the low feather to the Taxi Idle.  The regular throttle control should work after you use Propeller position keys to set to full.  I have the Prop axis bound to a slider on my HOTAS throttle though so I'm not sure about using keyboard for it.  I have used the keyboard randomly for the throttle though after putting the prop axis full forward.

Yes; I currently use a Saitek Yoke and TQ, and the normal Saitek throttle power lever controls the TMB power lever on the left side of the H pattern, and the Saitek Prop lever provides some control of the TMB throttle lever on the right side of the H pattern. This seems consistent with the sim's default throttle key bindings above.

Thx,

Al

Woops I missed that part of your post.  Sorry about that.
