October 25, 20205 yr Hello everyone Any reason not to get this sim as discs. I should have enough room on the drive and i gather there have been some install issues, such as a space warning bug from MS store. Anything else? thx dan
October 25, 20205 yr You will likely have to download dozens of GB of updates anyway, so I don't see the point unless you want it as a collectible.
October 25, 20205 yr Author Hi spider. Thx for reply I like the idea of discs (oldschool:) but not a bid deal, other than a physical manual. So iff i get a download purchase do i get from steam or MS store? Back to sim after 10 years so a little unsure:)
October 25, 20205 yr Author Thx for reply. My last reply is saying "hidden" so will confirm here once more that i will just get the regular download installation 🙂
October 25, 20205 yr I think if you get the disc version you also get a manual but you also have to have the disc in the drive when using MSFS. James
October 26, 20205 yr Author Thx Phantoms I am getting the download installation anyways and the manual that comes with that 🙂

There is no comprehensive & detailed manual for MSFS that I have seen or heard of, that Microsoft/Asobo made for the game. This is why people complained that there is no comprehensive & detailed manual for MSFS, no matter which version of MSFS you buy. . i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

If you have the xbox gamepass you can install it without the DVD's. Just enter your digital key online and it will start downloading. The game will even start without any DVD inserted. Note. if you unsubscribe the gamepass abo, you still can play MSFS2020 but you need to insert Disk 1 for starting. (ive done secure copy of my disk 1 into a .iso file, this is simply integrated into windows and no physical disk needed for starting) Edited October 26, 20205 yr by Nedo68
October 26, 20205 yr Author Thankyou Nedo68 Good to know. For download install users Sofly do something like and there are a lot of online tutorials and maybe an electronic online version.(not sure) There seems to be a lot of workarounds and some commands would be similar to earlier versions . Thx again for the gamepass info btw, regards dan
October 26, 20205 yr Yes. Included books cover only basic information on planes and some airports. There no thick manuals with information on flight mechanics, navigation, etc. like you can find in "old fashioned" versions (eg. FS5, FS2000Pro). I was little disappointed on it. But the price is close to the MS Store price and you get box and some other non-virtual things. If you collect on the shelf MSFS versions for years, the boxed version is the only choice for you :). You don't have to keep a DVD in the drive all the time. You just make the ISO image and leave it on HDD.
