Scenery for downtown Cleveland looks really good. KLKP - Lake Placid, NY - Great visuals around the Adirondack Mountains (assuming the weather is nice) Other flights not near me: KAVX - KVNY - in Southern California. There's a great Avalon freeware scenery for KAVX and default KVNY (Van Nuys) is really neat to fly into. if the weather around my area isn't good for flying, I definitely head either to SoCal or the Caribbean. I flew into KLBL three times this summer for White Sox at Indians games. Nice suggestion. What local fare is available on airport premises? Understand downtown Cleveland is nearby. Lake Placid is intriguing. I spent a lot of springs conducting motorcycle rallies at Lake George, and took evening motorcycle group rides to Lake Placid for dinner. I think you make a great suggestion here. Visited the airport and museum with the Honda dealer there at the time. Dealership was in nearby MIll Hall and the dealer was a long time pilot. So was his brother. See there is a courtesy car there. Good fit. Here is an example of what the $100 hamburger run has always been about:https://flyaltoona.com/terminal-info/la-fiesta-restaurant/ Also good examples of where I have been previously on $100 runs are Flying W (N14) in New Jersey, and Denver-Rocky Mtn airport (KBJC). Unfortunately the two establishments at Flying W are both still closed due to the pandemic. Unlike here at KCGI where the City is actively pushing OUT the lessee/restaurant they have. A pretty good buffet, I might add. It's the one good draw they have going for them. Other than maybe the EAP -- Essential Air Program, which effectively subsidizes the CRJ200 that flies to KORD. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
