LOL...probably just about everyone here gets a window seat on the plane I bet.  When I flew to/from Bahrain it was on a C5/C141...nary a window to look out of. 😞 (very small observation one up in the wing where we were sitting.)  I was too busy freezing my butt off to worry about looking out the window...LOL  Anyone's who's flown MATS can relate.

Fortunately when I flew to Okinawa they put us on a leased 747!  With stewardesses and all.  All servicemen on board.

My dad (still living getting ready to turn 80) retired from the Marines with 24 years in he was a cryptographer started out doing Morse code.

OMG.   My dad passed last year...but did 20 in the Navy doing the same thing as your dad!  They could have been stationed at some of the same places.  My dad could still tap out morse in his 80s as if he just got out of school!  Bet you dad can too. 😉

Small world! 😉

Ahh.....yeah when I flew to Napes it was on my only flight in a DC-10...a World Airways DC-10 to be exact.  Flew back in an ATA L1011. 🙂

My dad did a tour in Hawaii...not any of the other places though.  78-80 my dad had already retired and settled in Orlando.
