FSDG Windhoek and Walvis Bay sceneries released

Recommended Posts

Today I discovered that two airport sceneries for Namibia, namely FYWH and FYWB have been made by FSDG for P3D.
Given how Africa tends to be ignored by developers and these releases appear to have gone under the radar, I thought I’d highlight them.

Here are a couple of screenshots:

They're reasonable scenery products, IMO.
If you're like me, a couple of destinations around 2 - 2.5 hours' flight time of FACT make these worth looking into.

Thanks for sharing. They both look good and the price is reasonable I think. I will buy them both.

Wonderful that we have a quality Windhoek available! However the FSDG store only allows purchases within the EU. Any ideas when it's coming to Simmarket or other stores?

I've been looking for Nambian airports and scenery.  Got these today.  Thanks for the info 🙂

Now we just need Victoria Falls, Kilimanjaro, Great Zimbabwe, and animals on the Serengeti...

Thanks, though I already got them from Aerosoft at this point 😉 I've never been one for patience...

Aerosoft has left P3D, so I no longer buy from their store. Just an economic decision 😉

Kilimanjaro by Aerosoft is still working in V5.1 with the inibuild patch. (Although I avoid buying from Aerosoft wherever possible these days, too)

They have it but not for P3Dv5 yet.

What is this "patch" that you mentioned?

Is this what you mean?

Yes, that version had been updated for P3DV4. As far as I remember, I have just moved the directory from P3DV4 into my P3DV5 scenery repository and added it via addon.xml.

And yes, the patch file is at the web page you mentioned, it is just an exclude file.

I also have installed another patch by Simmershome, which I cannot find on his website anymore. Maybe he has withdrawn it.

Guys, I'm going to need some help with this.

I did the download and install and just told the installer to use P3Dv5 instead of P3Dv4

I installed the Dynamic Lighting library stuff from iniBuilds:

https://forum.inibuilds.com/files/file/620-inibuilds-dynamic-lighting-effect-library/.

https://forum.inibuilds.com/files/file/621-aerosoft-kilimanjaro/

Then the file correction:

https://inibuilds.ams3.digitaloceanspaces.com/p3dv5-compatibility-files/iniB HTKJ P3Dv5 CF.zip

This isn't working on my end.

I just get the blank airfield with Kilimanjaro in the background.

It does work in P3Dv4 though..

Any thoughts?
