A price of £599 (6800XT) showed up for a short while, but there was no way to purchase it unfortunately. This should help. The extra vRam was the draw for the 6800XT v the 3080, it looks as though I'm going to have time to wait and see what develops before I have the chance to buy a new GPU, as I'm not prepared to pay way over the stupidly higher prices over the MRRP, maybe I would pay a small uplift but not £100's extra. November 18, 20205 yr Any measurements on VRAM usage between 3080 and 6800? I'm already seeing up to 12 GB usage in certain scenarios (Google buildings) with my GTX 1080 which ends in terrible stutters of course. Would a 3080 also face this issue and I should therfore aim for AMD? CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D not OC, MB: MSI Tomahawk B450, RAM: 32GB DDR 4 3600, GPU: Geforce 5070 Ti not OC, 2TB SDD, Res: 4K
November 18, 20205 yr For P3D, the VRAM is the huge draw. I'm going to wait until spring to see what more testing benchmarks bring as well as inventory. [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
