It would be great if anyone could buy one, not a chance, I'm on nightshift and got up at the time they are meant to be available and I was all set up at multiple stores to pull the trigger, not one chance to even have the option to click a BUY button.

Did you at least get to see one? I didn’t even get that.

After losing out on another launch at this point the stats don’t mean much to me when you can’t even get hold of this hardware anyway.

Looks like, just from me looking at the two charts and not watching the video, for MSFS, there doesn't seem to be a "SAM" advantage using an AMD CPU paired with an AMD video card.

10850K, MSI Unify Z490, 32gb G.Skill Ripjaw 3600 CL16, MSI 5700 XT 8gb, Nochua NH-U12a, WD 500gb Black SSD (OS- Windows 10 Pro), Samsung 2tb Evo plus SSD (games), Superflower 850 watts power supply

My 2 cents: hopefully better AMD radeon drivers will get it closer to the rtx3080 4k performance.  BUT the 6800XT has 16GB VRAM vs 10GB VRAM.  This should help.

Nope.

Though that may be becasue the game is not coded to support it yet. Who knows.

Good to see nvidia have some real competition. Biggest AMD downside is ray tracing performance. Not a concern for MSFS (or any other flight sim) at this point, but maybe in the future? AMD is definitely on a great trajectory. I’m sold on their CPUs for sure.

SAM isn't fully implemented yet, as far as I understand.

My conclusion after watching two of these videos is that getting a 6800 XT is going to be very hard for quite a while. And it won't be selling for $650 when it does become available, at least not for most of us. Also, this is a real 3080 competitor at 1440p. My next build will be AMD based to take advantage of SAM, which gives boosts to many other games. The 3070 was absolutely crushed by the 6800XT in just about every benchmark, so I will not bother buying one of those. Add in 16GB memory and the AMD 6800 XT is a clear winner here, again at 1440p. At 4K the 3080 and 3090 are clear winners in most games. Again, just don't expect to buy one at list anytime soon.

If it wasn't for the fact that I have a G-Sync monitor, not Freesync, I would give the 6800XT a go. Seems like a beastly GPU.

It's so frustrating. I've tried the RTX 3080 launch and now the RX 6800 XT launch... never got a chance to buy.
