November 21, 20205 yr Absolutely should win the award. Show me a simulator that maps the entire world with the visual graphics MSFS does and to the level of detail. Not only that, any other simulator except for the mainstream flight sims (MSFS P3D XP) have a 1:1 scale. Even Truck Simulators which cover a decent amount of Europe and the West of NA, only scale 1/3 of the map. Most games cover about 50-200 sq km in an open world. And still havnt seen another simulator genre that has real time live weather again for the entire world. So while P3D FSX and XP have been around for a long time, its the next gen much more modern look and feel to the game that makes this nomination. Bugs shouldnt really play a part in it, since, its such a magnificent scope of the entire world, how could there not be many bugs. Gamers fail to realize how massive this world is when they talk about open world sandbox play and to the extent of features/simulation play.
