Harrisburg Pa to Lost Acres grass strip. (My home AP)

Featured Replies

Lost Acres is about 5 miles from my house so it's my home airstrip in the game.  I actually went there to inquire about getting my pilots license but I have diabetes.

Poor lineup to the grass strip to the right since I was trying to get the picture.  Should have lined up then hit the pause key lol.

Great shots. Did you not fly past 3 mile island?  There is a Community folder addon of it available at flightsim.to.  Will have to check out that strip. One of my daughters lives in Shippensburg.  I also used to call on M&S Honda Suziuki on US 30 on the east side of C burg., which cannot be far from that strip.

I had the same issue today trying to capture a screen shot on final.  I plan to map a yoke or quadrant button to the Alt-F1 key combination of GeForce Experience.

I didn't fly past 3 mile island but I have that mod.  I bought a Harley at that M&S shop like 20 years ago they no longer sell Harley's there.  I sold the bike to prolong my life LOL I'm not a good motorcycle rider haha.  Lost acres is right by I-81 south of the mall.  Another close by grass strip that is cool is 5 Lakes it is a very thin grass runway surrounded by 5 lakes.  I've driven by 5 Lakes often but have never seen it must be behind the trees.  Now Lost Acres is on a farm field and it's easy to drive to.  There was a real friendly octogenarian there that I talked to he has been flying all his life he gave me a card for a flight instructor but I figure my Type II diabetes would interfere with me being a RWP.

Thanks for posting. Love seeing my home state "on screen."

Good stuff...pictures and reminiscences...(from the folks...with ties with PA...🙂..)...!!

I lived in Wrightsville for about 4 years and I have to say. Seeing this brought me memories. I started my aviation training at KLNS. I definitely miss those days and the life over there. Thank you for sharing this.
