November 30, 20205 yr Great shots! This ship was pestered by an Exocet missile and was able to make it back to port despite the new air conditioning duct the missile created in the hull. When I was in the Persian Gulf during the Iran/Iraq war...the combatants in attack aircraft would lock on to any ship they "thought" was an enemy, launch an Exocet and skiddadle...not really trying too hard to verify the target before firing. Made it an stressful time to be sailing in that bathtub (That is what we called it because it was so small compared to the oceans we were accustomed to sailing in...strategically not a smart place for any surface fleet to operate...but we knew that going in.)
