Breaking Through the Clouds Inbound to KJAC

Featured Replies

I've flown the DEN-JAC route numerous times, such a nice, short, scenic route.  I've never had a weather/visual experience like this one though.  Flying through the cloud layer near the top so every once in a while I get a peak of blue above me, then I break out of the cloud layer and there's the splendor of the Tetons in my view.

Sorry about the HUD in the exterior shot, I wasn't planning on taking shots when I grabbed that one quickly.  Wish there was a hot key to remove the HUD!

Yes, nice route...short and sweet for the 320...Jackson Hole is an interesting Airport to fly into in our SIM...

Great looking pictures...!

Great shots!

KJAC is one of my favorite places to fly into and out of.

I know what you mean about breaking out of the clouds....it is simply breathtaking in this sim...and just as beautiful when you breakout on top...like I did his morning in a low overcast.  Watching the clouds thin...then seeing blue, then more blue ...its a sight for sure.

What HUD? 🙂

Slight use of the Clone and Smudge brushes in a paint program wipes em out pretty convincingly 🙂   (pic is grainy as its a screenshot of a screenshot)

I've done it more that a few times on pics I wanted to post without that thing....in fact, I've been known to put a fake one on a screenshot on occasion when I'm trying to convince folks that the Majestic Q400 for MSFS is right around the corner.....right @crosswind😆

Thanks Steve, I meant the overlay on the external shot, it would be great if we could assign a keystroke to toggle it on and off for quick screenshots.

(now I’m squinting at the shot you posted on my phone trying to figure out what you changed lol).

edit: I see it now at the top of the screen

Ahh....yeah see what you're referring to...too many to smudge out there.  I think there might be a mod....there is one the takes off the aircraft data tags by toggle, and he created a few more...let me see if i can find the mod

Here it is:
