December 26, 20205 yr I recently upgraded from V4 to V5, In the VC and overall textures I have noticed blurry textures. So far I have: MIPMAP (ON/OFF) - no difference, FXAA - ON/OFF - no difference, resolution: 1024x1024 - 4096-4096 - no difference, "Delete Generated Files - no difference". Any Suggestions? Kind Regards, Conor Edited December 26, 20205 yr by IrishAirline99

Never took any screenshots but I was tweaking my profile settings for the FSL Airbus when it happened. Had installed the Aerosoft F14 prior to switching over to the FSL. Maybe @Bert Pieke can help you out. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you both
December 26, 20205 yr Hi. I don't see anything about any addons you may have installed or your system specs? I found that my "blurries" in v5 were caused by my setting an affinity mask in P3D.cfg. I removed the affinity mask and all was ok. I think it all depends upon ones individual setup, etc. Peter Webber MSFS 2020 & 2024 / Windows 11 / Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF / MSI Pro Z890-S WIFI / Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 500GB / Corsair Vengeance DDR5 48GB 7000MHz / MSI Geforce RTX 4070Ti Super

Try these settings as a starting point: Graphics: FXAA=off, AA=4XSSAA. Ani=8x, TexRes=2048, Vsync=off, fps=Unlimited LOD=High,TessFac=High,Mesh=5m,TexRes=1m, UseHighResTex, Scene Comp=ExtremelyDense, AutoGen=High,Veg=Normal,BLg=Dense,DynamicVeg=off Water Detail=Medium, no Bath, no reflections SpecEff=Medium HDR=On (0.85/0.05/0.97), DynRef=off, LandLights=on Shadow qual = High, Shadow Draw Dist = Low, Casting+Rec = both for Internal and External Enh Atmospherics=on, Cloud Res=Medium, Weather: Clear Skies. Thanks everyone 🙂 I re-installed V5 and applied Bert's settings. The setting that made the most noticeable difference in VC clarity appeared to be setting AA to 4x/8x SSAA. Happy New Year!

Excellent settings. I use your settings, Bert. However, I do limit my frames in NVCP to 30, and Unlimited in the sim. I do not use EA because I do not believe it displays weather or clouds as it should be. I use Active Sky or FS Global Real Weather; either works equally well. Even though I've changed some things here, your settings above all work perfectly. Stan Edited January 3, 20215 yr by spilok
