January 4, 20215 yr I'm using P3D ver 4.5. Is there any better than default scenery for any of the following airports? Sacramento Executive (KSAC), Spirit of St Louis (KSUS) and Page Field (KFMY) Tom

January 4, 20215 yr http://www.blueskyscenery.com/ has a version of KSAC. For v5 users, there's also an update available on their front page. [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
January 4, 20215 yr I was using Art Poole's freeware Ft. Myers airports in FSX. After getting LatinVFR's KRSW, I removed the conflicting files from the freeware package in order to only display the KFMY scenery. I tried the package in P3d4.5HF3 but had some default scenery showing through. I was going to try to create an exclude using ADE but got busy and haven't gotten around to installing the P3d SDK and ADE etc. If you're familiar with ADE you might be able to get it to work. It's definitely an upgrade from default. I don't live too far from KFMY and even took a discovery flight from there a few years ago. Art's scenery layout looks pretty good. The package is available from here in the library:Ft Myers, FL Airports (Download #136140) KFMY - Page Field - Fort Myers, Florida * UPDATE * (Download #176038) Let me know if you give it a whirl and it works! Thanks for listening, Kail

Thanks, I had a look at that but note the airports are just AF files designed for default airports that don't match their photorealistic scenery. I'm not interesting in going in that direction, but again, thanks for the referral. Dan Downs KCRP

Tom You should be. Airport Design Editor is the gold standard in creating airport bgl files (AF, AFCAD files) because it is really a good piece of software and it is free from scruffyduck software. There is a very active and valuable forum for ADE over in FSDeveloper. The latest version works with P3Dv5 bgl files. Even if you don't want to get into modifying airports, it's handy for opening a default airport and looking at parking and navaids. Dan Downs KCRP
