Great news!.

Hopefully you'll pay more attention to provide a good Manual. The Manual included in previous versions (P3D) was very difficult to follow. Probably your beta testers can help on this.

Regarding the 'Play as AI' feature, can you record a new flight while flying in formation with a previously-recorded flight, then play both flights back together?

If you want meanwhile you replay a formation you can use another instance for video render

Sorry, I don’t understand your reply. I want to know if you can record genuine formation flying and air to air shots like you could with FS Recorder. I think you are saying I could use a separate instance to record the video, which is a useful feature, but I’m still not sure what you mean by ‘formation’. Just offsetting a single recording isn’t very useful so I am hoping there is a way to combine successive recordings into one.

Sorry !!! Now i can try explain well .

You record your flight . After that you ll can replay in a standard way or replay adding the same track (max 3 plane) giving an offset to every track

And you can play a flight formation . But meanwhile you replay these tracks with one instance of FlightControlReplay. For capture these formation in v4.5 you can play and create flight formation and you can use FCR with flight formation (play / go forward / go backward) . You have only one file recorded and you can duplicate it for create formations! After if you want VideoRender your flight formation you can use THE SAME FCR instance and start video rendering (FrameByFrameTech) proprietary algorithm that with a compressed codec render your video

@karijno thanks for this software, as I understood now from the videos, when you hit "Record", you will need to choose the file name and click save. However, is there a function that will just automatically create the file and save when you hit record?

Thanks

I have been using this for some time now and its how I record the videos you see on the channel.

Im not affiliated in anyway and have been beta testing the program. I have to say this is the real deal guys and works extremely well.

Its super easy to use and fun to play the flight back. I can say that Fabio is quick to make fixes to the program.

This is at the beta stage hence why he is quick to make fixes but shows me how committed he is to get this available to you all.

If you have used the P3D version you will know how this works.

Thanks

So this sounds like a 'no' to my question 😞

If you want one file that includes all formation , the answer is in vNext. BUT , open one file and configure offset for flight formation with my new configuration UI it takes 20 sec 😉  ....

No, I guess I am not managing to explain what I mean. Offset flights are not proper formations and they look very unrealistic. Look at the formations in the video below. In most of these each aircraft is hand-flown in formation with another aircraft, which means the formation is loose and variable, with subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle relative movements. When multiple recordings are combined in playback, the result can be very realistic formations. Using FS Recorder also allows you to 'fly' the camera in formation, as you can view the playback from one of the recorded aircraft (used in many places here).
